Gate 47's Inherent Energetic Traits

The function of the Ajna Center is to make sense of what's coming from the Head Center so it can communicate in a way that's more efficient.

Gate 47 is trying to make sense of its harmonic gate 64. Someone with gate 47 is here to have "aha's" that help others have understanding. Gate 47 is processing things through abstract visual processes and is trying to make sense of all the images in the mind and what happened in the past. You have revelations that come in their own timing.

The Gift of Gate 47

When something finally DOES make sense and you are able to put the mental pieces together, the confusion goes to the gift of transmutation and there’s a feeling of peace around the "aha" because there’s clarity! You suddenly know why you experienced what you experienced, making sense of all the mental images of the past – that’s what the 64 helps bring down to the 47. It is almost like a form of “medicine.”

Nothing is too big to transmute, so don't fall into hopelessness or being dogmatic.

Anxiety and the Shadow of Gate 47

Without the 64, the gate of confusion, gate 47 is prone to mental anxiety around confusion. The 47 is looking to pull in the mental images to see the bigger picture of all that happened and to make sense of the past. The 47 asks, “what’s the bigger picture of all that has happened.” Without the full connection, someone may struggle to make sense of past experiences, which can create mental anxiety in the form of confusion.

All gates in the Ajna Center are prone to mental anxiety. The mental anxiety that can happen with gate 47 is a fear of futility or of life being futile - incapable of producing any useful result; pointless; useless.

The shadow frequency of gate 47 is oppression. Having a fear of futility is oppressive! The oppression comes from mental chatter of “I don’t get this; I don’t understand this; the pieces don’t go together; what does life even mean?” The mind creates anxiety about that.

Neocortex Physiology and Gate 47 in Human Design

Gate 47’s physiological connection in the body is the Neocortex, which is the majority of the brain's volume. The Neocortex includes the frontal, temporal, parietal, and occipital lobes.

Frontal lobe: motor control, problem solving, speech production

Temporal lobe: auditory processing, language comprehension, memory & information retrieval

Pariental lobe: touch perception, body orientation and sensory discrimination

Occipital lobe: sight, visual reception, visual interpretation

As you can tell, the Neocortex is associated with many critical cognitive functions! It plays a critical role in memory, attention, perception, and executive function.

Next, let's look at the human design nutrition associated with the gate 47.

Gate 47 and Dietary Fat (human design nutrition)

Gate 47 is part of Human Design's Collective Sensing Abstract circuitry, which starts at the bottom of the body graph in the Root Center with channel 53-42. The frequency of this energy is about cycles of growth and development that move through a beginning, middle, and end phase. These cycles have a connection to physical and metaphorical birth, growth, maturation, completion, death, and rebirth.

Gate 47's abstract circuitry is associated with the macronutrients Fat and Fiber. I love this connection between dietary fat and the Neocortex of gate 47 because approximately 60% of the brain's dry weight consists of fat! The brain is one of the fatties organs in the body and relies on fats for important functions.

Certain fats, such as the omega-3 fats EPA & DHA, are essential for brain health. You have to get these from your diet or a supplement. Keep in mind, not all fats are the same, so prioritize the healthy fats from foods like nuts, seeds, avocados, fatty fish, and olive oil while minimizing intake of unhealthy fats like trans fats and vegetable oils. Here's information about the fat I take every morning.

Gate 47 and Dietary Fiber (human design nutrition)

Are you wondering how brain function and fiber are connected? Research shows your gut and brain are constantly talking to each other and are inextricably connected! They're biologically impossible to separate. Your gut is the gateway to health, and FIBER plays a vital role in supporting the health of the gut microbiome (and therefore your longevity too!).

Certain types of dietary fiber called prebiotics serve as a food source for beneficial gut bacteria. The fermentation process produces short-chain fatty acids which nourish the cells lining the colon and promote gut health.

A fiber-rich diet supports more growth and diversity of beneficial bacteria in the gut, leading to a more balanced microbial ecosystem, which is associated with better health.

Eating a diet high in fiber promotes the production of a mucus layer in the gut, which helps protect and maintain the integrity of the gut barrier. This barrier function is essential for preventing harmful bacteria or toxins from getting into the bloodstream.

About 95% of the neurotransmitters responsible for brain health and mental well-being are produced by specific bacteria in your gut. This includes serotonin, dopamine, and GABA which are critical for regulating mood, emotions, and cognitive function. Fiber intake impacts gut health, and any imbalance in gut health can throw off neurotransmitter production.

Pituitary Gland and the Ajna Center

The Pituitary Gland is associated with the Ajna Center. It's located at the base of the brain, and it's called the "master gland" because it's functions like the headquarters for giving instructions to the whole body. It plays a crucial role in maintaining hormone balance, regulating a wide range of bodily processes, including growth, reproduction, metabolism, stress response, and water balance.

The Pituitary Gland controls growth hormone, thyroid stimulating hormone, the hormone that controls cortisol release and production (adrenocorticotropic), and two hormones that are critical for regulating reproductive function! These are MAJOR hormones in the body! Any dysfunction or abnormalities in the pituitary gland can lead to hormonal imbalances and associated health issues.

Follow Your Strategy and Authority

The mind is amazing! it's wonderful for processing information and making sense of experiences. However, the mind is not where we make decisions about our life. The body is the driver of our decisions and the mind is a supportive passenger.

Making decisions from your mind, and not trusting your body, leads to fear, anxiety, self-doubt, confusion, and not-self.

When you have complete trust in your Strategy and Authority, this is how you create ease and alignment in your life, and how you begin to shape your life into the highest potential of what you came here to be and do.

Follow Your Determination Diet Type

In addition to prioritizing healthy fats and dietary fiber, also consider following your Primary Health System (PHS) Determination Diet type. This is a way of eating that supports your thinking.

For example, if your Determination is Indirect, this means your body digests food and information better in dim light, before the sun rises, and after the sun goes. It doesn't have anything to do with what you eat, but more about the eating environment, so you can still consume the fats and fibers.

Questions for Inquiry

Do you have gate 47? How often do you have "aha's?" What have you found helps the "aha's" drop in more easily? When have you given authority over to your mind? What was the outcome? Do you Oppress yourself? Do you experience headaches or migraines?

I would love to hear from you.

Much love,

Kelly
